Protection of personal data
Cornelis-Adriaenssens BV pays a lot of attention to the way in which the personal data we collect from you as a (potential) customer is handled. It is therefore of paramount importance that this is handled correctly, as the GDPR legislation provides. Are you not familiar with this legislation? On the website https://gdpr-eu.be/wat-is-gdpr/ you will find everything you want to know about what this legislation precisely means.
Cornelis-Adriaenssens BV, like all companies, naturally collects a number of data from its visitors. This is because it is necessary in order to make certain processes run smoothly and to optimize our marketing.
.
What data do we collect and how do we handle it
?
When you connect to our website, certain data is collected via google analytics. We find out through which search terms you came to us, from which region you looked us up, which pages you viewed and how long you stayed on our website. This helps us to identify our potential new customers and explore possible new segments in our field.
Further, you get the opportunity to effectively become a customer with us as a company. To do that, we ask you to fill in some information. We ask you to provide the name of the company, VAT number, the name of the contact person, phone number, e-mail address, delivery address and billing address. Furthermore, you are given the choice whether you want to be kept informed via e-mail about changes in delivery rounds, promotions, etc. We collect this information in order to provide you as a customer with correct invoicing, to contact you in case of questions regarding the order, delivery or payment, and to notify you in case of last-minute or planned changes regarding deliveries. We also check your VAT number for validity at external websites such as https://www.companyweb.be/nl or http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/?locale=nl and this is primarily to prevent fraud and to ensure that you are indeed registering as a pet store.
After registration, you can then proceed to place orders. These orders go directly into our secure database and are kept there to see your order history. This is done both to be able to help you as a customer with questions about recent or less recent orders, but also to track your order history. This also allows us to proactively look for possible points of improvement or detect evolutions within the market. All this in order to be of even better service to you as a customer.
.
When you have placed an order, we will process it and for this we have some partners we work with. Some of these partners pack for us the items/animals per customer. This means that they receive from us your company name and ordered items and quantities. This is unavoidable in order to provide correct delivery.
After the preparation of a delivery, of course an invoice follows. For this we obviously also need the previously collected data. These payments are registered in our database and are copied from there to the database on the servers of the accounting firm we work with. There, too, everything is on extra secure servers. Our external accountant then has access to this data for the sole purpose of ensuring correct administration and taxation.
.
If no payment follows after invoicing, your data can be passed on to a collection agency in order to obtain payment.
Furthermore, your data will never be passed on to a third party.
Further, your data will never be used nor passed on to third parties. Only people employed by the company have access to these databases and undertake to protect this information.
As a company we make every effort to ensure that the information we collect is accurate and complete.
As a company, we make every effort to protect your data to the maximum extent possible. The database containing customer data is hosted on a remote server at Wolters Kluwer. They manage the security of these servers and also make every effort to prevent data leakage or loss.
